The La Pinta
Yacht La Pinta, has been designed for the ultimate luxurious expedition adventure in the Galapagos Islands. The 63-metre (207ft) yacht accommodates a maximum of just 48 guests and hosts.
La Pinta is large enough to offer stability, comfort and regular alfresco dining out on deck, but small enough to dock in places inaccessible to the larger vessels.
After intense days of wildlife exploration, yacht La Pinta provides a haven of relaxation and tranquillity with tastefully appointed accommodation and all the facilities for a stylish yet informal ambiance.
Guests will enjoy the Galapagos Marine Reserve – the second largest in the world – with various snorkelling outings, chances for swimming and whale and dolphin watching during inter-island cruising.
Prestige guests and La Pinta on the Celebration of Wildlife
will cover all aspects of the Galapagos: discovery, adventure, environmental interpretation, aquatic activities, relaxation, superb service and great dining. The experienced crew embrace a spirit
of adventure, while at the same time ensuring that you always travel in comfort and complete safety.
La Pinta is the Spanish name of Abingdon Island in the northwest of the Galapagos Archipelago – where the famous Lonesome George giant tortoise comes from. Lonesome George is the world’s most celebrated tortoise, for being the last surviving individual of an otherwise extinct race. He is depicted in the logo of the Galapagos National Park and an emblem of conservation. It is also the name of one of the caravels in which Christopher Columbus sailed on his trip to America: Pinta, Niña
and Santa Maria.
